#1. What has a bigger impact on your score; increased distance or improved accuracy?
For a 18 hcp golfer, a 20 yd increase in driving distance will lower scores by an average of 2.3 strokes. A one-degree improvement in accuracy will decrease scores by an average of 1 stroke.
#2. If I increase my swing speed, I will be less accurate.
Unless you are a touring pro or an elite amateur that already has an efficient swing it has been proven that by using your body better to create the forces needed in a fast golf swing accuracy is increased not decreased.
#3. Overspeed Training is only for young golfers.
If you do a strength and conditioning program as part of your speed training then it is for any age. That is why we provide a free training program, for all levels of fitness. We have golfers in their 70’s increasing their swing speed with us.
